The question begs asking, why did NY’s Governor Hochul travel on an “all expenses paid” trip to Israel almost 2 weeks after the October 7th beginning of the Gaza bloodbath, now in its 2nd month?
It turns out that the governor’s office has invested an additional $2.5 million, deploying additional State Police Investigators to NYC, Albany, Buffalo and Rochester, while increasing the NY State Police contingent to the FBI’s JTTF (Joint Terrorism Task Force) and expanding
State Police monitoring of social media, and directed MTA and Port Authority leaders to patrol high-risk transit hubs. In July, Governor Hochul announced more than $51 million in grant funding to improve safety and security of organizations at risk of hate crimes.
One might think this is the normal response of a responsible state leader and, in a vacuum and out of context, it would be. But we don’t live in a vacuum and context is everything!
You see, Governor Hochul and now, it emerges, other NY Politicians including Mayor Adams of New York City, have been traveling on “all expenses paid” excursions to Israel for quite some time:
The trips have shaped elected officials’ politics. Rep. Ritchie Torres, D-N.Y. — one of Congress’s most aggressive Israel backers, including strident support of the ongoing Israeli military campaign that has killed more than 8,000 Palestinians in Gaza — credits his views on Israel–Palestine to a 2015 trip he took as a city council member. The trip was co-organized by the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York and UJA-Federation.
It has been revealed by The Intercept that these trips have been paid for by the same NY Group funding illegal Israeli settlements, with Mayor Adams’ recent trip sparking quite a controversy. To answer the question of why the governor traveled to Israel when she did, it was a self-described “Solidarity Mission”. Who is the Governor of New York in solidarity with? The IDF, Benjamin Netanyahu, settlers illegally appropriating (stealing) Palestinian land, who? The next question that begs asking is: What other governors traveled to Israel? Including Gov. Hochul, leading the group, 17 in total:
Governor Kathy Hochul, State of New York
Governor Gavin Newsom, State of California
Governor Jared Polis, State of Colorado
Governor Ned Lamont, State of Connecticut
Governor John Carney, State of Delaware
Governor JB Pritzker, State of Illinois
Governor Laura Kelly, State of Kansas
Governor Wes Moore, State of Maryland
Governor Maura Healey, State of Massachusetts
Governor Tim Walz, State of Minnesota
Governor Phil Murphy, State of New Jersey
Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, State of New Mexico
Governor Roy Cooper, State of North Carolina
Governor Josh Shapiro, State of Pennsylvania
Governor Dan McKee, State of Rhode Island
Governor Spencer Cox, State of Utah
Governor Phil Scott, State of Vermont
Governor Hochul, Mayor Adams and the other NY politicians accepted these “all expenses paid” trips with full knowledge of who the funders were. It would seem investing in corruption is a good bet if you need compliant politicians to spin the lie that all Palestinians are terrorists, that the whole thing started on October 7th and that the Hamas attack was “unprovoked”. Anyone who rises to these positions of power knows how the State of Israel came to be. The moral of the story: these 17 governors, hypocrites all, are complicit in the mass murder now of over 12,500 Palestinians, including 4,500 children!
How are they complicit?
Publicity or material support to the State of Israel in its campaign of genocide: accepting a donation or gift with full knowledge of its origin and intent; the gift or donation is not unconditional. An unspoken “understanding” is inferred with the acceptance of the donation or gift. When the opportunity arises, the politician will use their office and position of power in support of the benefactor in a manner inconsistent with the politician’s oath of office. In the case of the President of the United States, Joseph R. Biden and this sad parade of 17 US governors, the support would be the furtherance of the Israeli State in its murderous campaign of oppression and illegal appropriation of Palestinian territory, either by force or coercion.
Gov. Hochul, an Irish Catholic, in leading 16 of her colleagues to Israel, not only disgraced her office, she forever put that stain on the State of New York, home to the Statue of Liberty:
Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!
